A studio-based approach to kitchen refinishing
A more controlled way to refinish a kitchen
Most kitchen spray companies carry out their work on-site, often prioritising speed.
We take a different approach — removing and refinishing key components within our workshop, where the process can be properly controlled.
A brief overview
We remove doors, drawers and removable components from your home and refinish them within our studio.
Fixed elements such as frames and end panels are completed on-site, using careful masking and professional extraction.
This allows us to focus on consistency, durability and detail — rather than speed.

01.
Removal & documentation
Each door, drawer and removable component is carefully removed, labelled and recorded to ensure everything returns exactly where it belongs.
Your kitchen remains usable for light day-to-day use while the main refinishing work takes place off-site.
02.
Preparation
A durable finish starts with the surface beneath it.
In the workshop, each component is thoroughly cleaned, sanded and prepared to create a stable base for the new coating — with any minor imperfections addressed at this stage.
03.
Workshop spray finishing
Components are spray finished within our controlled workshop environment.
Using professional spray systems, coatings are applied evenly across every surface to achieve a consistent, balanced finish.
04.
Curing & inspection
Once applied, each piece is left to cure under stable conditions.
This allows the coating to properly harden before being checked for consistency and prepared for reinstallation.
05.
Reinstallation
All components are returned and refitted with care.
Doors are aligned, gaps are checked, and the kitchen is brought back together as a complete, resolved space.
06.
Final result
Once complete, the kitchen reads as a whole — not just newly finished components, but a space that feels consistent and considered throughout.

What happens on-site
While most of the refinishing work takes place within our workshop, certain elements are completed in your home.
These typically include frames, end panels and fixed components that can’t be removed.
We manage this carefully — using professional masking, floor protection and controlled extraction — keeping disruption to a minimum while maintaining a consistent finish across the whole kitchen.
This allows us to combine the control of the workshop with the practicality of working within the space.

Studio vs. On-Site
Most kitchen spray companies carry out the majority of their work on-site,
with an emphasis on speed.
We take a more considered approach — allowing each stage to be carried out properly,
in the right environment.
Typical On-site Spraying
Environment: Completed within the home, where dust and airborne particles are difficult to fully control.
Coatings: Often selected for speed and quick turnaround.
Timeline: Typically completed within 1–2 days.
Application: Surfaces are masked and sprayed in place.
Outcome: A short-term visual improvement.
Our Studio Process
Environment: Completed within a dedicated spray workshop with controlled air filtration.
Coatings: Selected for durability, consistency and long-term performance.
Timeline: A structured 7–10 day process allowing for proper preparation and curing.
Application: Doors, drawers and components are removed and spray finished individually.
Outcome: A considered, long-lasting finish.
Why this matters
A kitchen isn’t just a collection of parts — it’s a space used every day.
By controlling the environment, preparation and curing, we’re able to deliver a finish that feels consistent across every surface and holds up over time.
Our approach tends to suit homeowners who value a more considered, craft-led process — working with kitchens that are well made and worth keeping.
Our Cardiff workshop is set up specifically for spray finishing — with controlled airflow, preparation space and drying conditions.
A finish that’s considered from start to finish.

Considered from the outset
Every project begins with an understanding of the space — how the kitchen is used, how light moves through it, and how the finish will sit alongside surrounding materials.

Refined with intention
Colour and finish aren’t chosen in isolation. We guide decisions where needed, ensuring the final result feels balanced and cohesive within the home.

Resolved before completion
A spray sample is created ahead of final application, allowing the finish to be reviewed and confirmed before the full project is completed.
The aim isn’t simply to change the colour — but to create a finish that feels considered, consistent, and right for the space.
