CABINETRY REFINISHING · CARDIFF & SOUTH WALES
A considered new finish for cabinetry worth keeping.
Cabinetry Refinishing can be commissioned as a focused service when the cabinetry finish is the principal issue. Existing doors, drawer fronts, panels and frames are assessed, repaired and professionally spray finished.
Where colour, hardware, surfaces, lighting and joinery need reconsidering together, Cabinetry Refinishing becomes the foundation of a wider Kitchen Refinement.
THE CABINETRY, CONSIDERED IN CONTEXT
When the cabinetry is worth keeping, but the kitchen no longer feels resolved.
A new finish can change how the cabinetry feels. The wider decisions are what make the room feel complete.
We begin by assessing the structure, condition and proportions of the existing kitchen. Colour, sheen and hardware are then developed in relation to the worktops, flooring, light and surrounding finishes.
Any complementary changes are introduced only where they will make a meaningful difference—retaining what has value while bringing the kitchen back into balance.
FEATURED REFINISHING · WHITCHURCH
The colour changed.
The structure worth keeping remained.

AFTER
Green Smoke & Hague Blue
The timber island and open shelving already gave the room warmth and identity.
Refinishing the surrounding cabinetry in two grounded colours brought depth and cohesion without erasing what made the kitchen distinctive.

OUR PROCESS
Reviewed, prepared, finished and re-fitted with care.
01
Initial project review
Share a few photographs of your kitchen and tell us what you would like to improve. We’ll take an initial look at the cabinetry and consider which route would suit your kitchen best.
If it looks like something we can help with, we’ll complete a complimentary site visit to see the cabinetry in person and discuss the likely scope.
03
Specialist preparation & refinishing
Removable components are carefully labelled and taken to a controlled specialist workshop for repair, preparation, spray finishing and curing.
Fixed cabinetry is protected, prepared and finished in the home using the appropriate professional systems.
02
Design & Project Development
After the complimentary site visit, Cabinetry Refinishing projects move directly to specification and quotation, while wider Kitchen Refinement projects continue into our paid Design & Project Development stage.
Once appointed for Design & Project Development, we establish the detailed colour and material direction, define each element of the wider project and arrange any specialist site surveys required. The complete scope, investment and proposed programme are then prepared for your approval.
04
Refit, coordinate & resolve
The cabinetry is returned, reassembled and carefully aligned. Any complementary trades are coordinated in the correct sequence, with each stage overseen through to the final details.

Is cabinetry refinishing the right choice?
SPECIALIST CRAFT
The finish is built in the preparation.
Cabinetry is assessed before any finish is specified. Doors, drawer fronts and removable panels are repaired, cleaned, prepared, primed, spray-finished and cured in a controlled specialist environment.
Fixed frames and panels receive the same methodical preparation in the home, with professional protection and extraction throughout.
Cabinet-specific coatings
Selected for a consistent low-sheen finish and the realities of everyday kitchen use.
Repairs before colour
Minor defects and alignment issues are resolved where appropriate, not simply sprayed over.
MORE THAN A COLOUR CHANGE
Decisions made for the whole kitchen.

01
Colour in context
Undertone, daylight, flooring and worktops are considered together. Sprayed samples let you judge the colour in the room, not from a small card in isolation.
02
Finish and detail
Sheen, cabinetry profiles, hardware and adjoining materials are specified in relation to one another, allowing the details to read as one composition rather than a series of separate choices.
03
Technical judgement
More than 15 years of carpentry and kitchen-fitting experience, together with 10 years of specialist spray-finishing knowledge, informs what should be retained, repaired, remade or refinished.
THE RIGHT FOUNDATION
Two routes, chosen to suit your kitchen.
Some kitchens need a specialist new finish.
Others benefit from being reconsidered more widely. We specialise in both.
