Windmill Lane - Rhiwbina Village
A 25-year-old handmade kitchen in a 1913 Rhiwbina home — carefully refined rather than replaced. We restored and realigned the existing cabinetry, adjusted doors and hinge placements, and refinished every surface to return the kitchen to its intended standard.

Project Overview
Location: Rhiwbina, Cardiff
Colour: Little Greene – Windmill Lane
Finish: Workshop spray refinishing, low-sheen acid catalyst coating
Scope: Kitchen refinishing, door adjustment, hinge realignment, worktop restoration

This project focused on the refinement of a 25-year-old handmade kitchen within a 1913 home in Rhiwbina, Cardiff.

Rather than replacing the existing cabinetry, we carried out a full workshop-led kitchen refinishing process — restoring the finish, improving alignment, and resolving years of wear through careful preparation and adjustment.

All doors were removed, trimmed where needed, and reinstalled with corrected hinge placements to ensure clean, consistent operation throughout. The original oak worktops, which had become heavily stained over time, were sanded back and fully restored before being re-protected.

The cabinetry was refinished in Little Greene Windmill Lane, selected to sit naturally alongside the existing materials within the space.

The result is a kitchen that not only looks more considered, but functions as it should — a complete refinement of what was already there.

"Highly recommend Bespoke Spray.
From first enquiry to refit, the experience was seamless. Drew’s attention to detail is exceptional — everything was carefully put right, and the result speaks for itself."
