Kitchen Colour & Design Consultation
Colour, material and finish guidance for considered kitchen refinements
Choosing a cabinet colour is only one part of refining a kitchen.
We look at how cabinetry sits alongside worktops, flooring, tiles, handles, natural light and the surrounding interiors, so the finished kitchen feels cohesive rather than simply repainted.
Our Approach
Bespoke Spray Studio is led by Beth and Drew, whose backgrounds combine fine art and hands-on craftsmanship.
Beth holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Art, specialising in printmaking, with a strong understanding of tone, balance and how colour behaves in different lighting conditions.
Drew studied Fine Art and photography in Bristol before building over 15 years of experience in carpentry, giving him a practical understanding of materials, construction and how finishes perform in real environments.
For projects requiring a wider interiors perspective, we also collaborate with interior designer Louise Misell. This allows us to bring in additional guidance around colour, materials, styling and how the kitchen sits within the wider home.
Together, this allows us to approach each project with both a visual and technical perspective — not just selecting a colour, but ensuring it works within the space, the materials and the way the kitchen is used.
What's Considered
Each consultation looks beyond a single paint colour. Together, we consider:
-
How colour sits alongside worktops, flooring and surrounding materials
-
Light levels and how tones shift throughout the day
-
The balance between cabinetry, walls and architectural elements
-
Finish and sheen — and how it affects the overall feel of the space
-
Hardware choices, including handles, knobs and finer detailing
The aim is to create a result that feels considered — not simply repainted.

Hardware & Surface Details
Hardware, tiles, and finishing details are what bring a kitchen together.
We supply premium brands including Corston Architectural, Hendel & Hendel and Plank Hardware, alongside tiles from Mandarin Stone and Bert & May — with samples available to view in our workshop.
This allows us to guide decisions across the full scheme, not just the cabinetry. Handles, hardware and tiled surfaces are considered together, so contrast, tone and texture feel balanced rather than pieced together.
Bert & May tiles can also be produced in bespoke RAL colours, meaning splashbacks and feature areas can sit precisely within the overall palette.
Often, it’s these details — quietly resolved — that define the final result.
Designed To Support Kitchen Refinement Projects
Most kitchens we work on do not need replacing. The layout often works, but the colour, hardware and surrounding details no longer feel right.
Through considered colour and design guidance, we help refine the existing kitchen so every element sits together as one cohesive scheme.

Start Your Enquiry
Share a few photos of your kitchen and tell us what you’d like to change, improve or better understand.
We’ll review your space and advise whether cabinetry refinishing, kitchen refinement or a design consultation would be the most suitable next step.

In-Home Design Consultation
For clients who would like additional guidance, we offer in-home design consultations to help refine colours, materials, hardware and finishes before work begins.
Where appropriate, we also collaborate with trusted interior designer Louise Misell to provide a more comprehensive design consultation.

Sample & Final Approval
We prepare a sample that brings the key finishes together, so you can view cabinetry colour, sheen level, hardware and any wider material choices in your own light.
Once the direction is approved, your project is scheduled and completed with confidence
Beyond Kitchens
Alongside kitchen projects, we also work on select bespoke joinery and individual design commissions where colour and finish play a central role.
These projects allow for more expressive use of tone, contrast and material — while maintaining the same level of preparation and spray finish as our kitchen work.
